Ward Transport & Logistics, the PMTA, and the ATA “Call on Washington”
Bill Ward Jr., President of Ward Transport & Logistics, and Dwain M. Key, Sr. Vice President of Operations of Ward Transport & Logistics, were invited by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association (PMTA) for a “Call on Washington.”
Last week, Bill and Dwain met with key members of Congress to discuss crucial trucking and workforce issues, and they attended meetings on Capitol Hill alongside two of the trade organizations that Maven supports, the PMTA and the American Trucking Associations (ATA).
Maven is proud of the leaders at our longtime customer, Ward Transport & Logistics, for their advocacy work and the time that they’ve spent in Washington with the ATA and PMTA on behalf of the trucking industry!
A Big Thank You Goes Out to All Truckers & Fleet Employees!
In recognition of the Truck Driver Appreciation Week that took place in mid-September, we’d like to reiterate how much we appreciate all of the hardworking truck drivers and fleet employees that keep our customers and the entire country moving.
70% of the nation’s freight is delivered by trucks, and the numbers and facts shared in the above image from the ATA continue to impress upon us how important trucking is to the economy. Drivers and other fleet employees, including dispatchers, planners, and managers, are the core users of Maven’s software suite, and we are grateful to have the opportunity to support their essential daily work.
It was incredible to see all of our customers recognizing their drivers and employees with so many gifts and awards, while also hosting barbecues, banquets, and more to celebrate them during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.

PITT OHIO’s Rock & Bowl Fundraiser for Autism Speaks & Boys & Girls Clubs of America
Maven had a great time supporting the PITT OHIO “Rock & Bowl” Fundraiser on September 23rd! Benefitting Autism Speaks and Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the annual event raised over $50K for these two organizations and brought together individuals and businesses from all over the region for a fun-filled Saturday at the alley.
The Maven team, along with friends and family, were proud to sponsor a lane to support the causes and had a (bowling) ball participating in the event hosted by our customer, PITT OHIO.
Some of our group even showed up in costume from a popular movie to go along with the bowling theme and our team’s name, “Rolling on Shabbos.” Can you guess what the movie was!?
